Several weeks ago, Tom Tom Australia revised its RRP prices of its 3 car navigation solutions:

Tom Tom One - Third Edition
Previous RRP: $399.00
New RRP: $299.00

Tom Tom One - XL
Previous RRP: $499.00
New RRP: $399.00

Tom Tom GO 720
Previous RRP: $699.00
New RRP: $599.00

Positioning the One - Third Edition at a sub $300 price point is likely to attract a new target audience to Tom Tom's already successful One series, as it means that more families and individuals can afford a satellite navigation solution. While to repositioning of the One - XL & GO 720 will likely enable them to compete better with other vendor offerings.

Will other vendors follow suite with Tom Tom's markdown? Only time will tell!

All of the original content from AusGPS v1 is scheduled to be transferred over this coming Saturday, meaning that by Sunday, AusGPS v2 (this site) should have a little more content on it.

But I need your help!

I need to know what people want from a GPS community... news? reviews? previews? user ratings? Please share with me. As many of you may have noticed, there has been a lack of updates (& up-time) on AusGPS for some time.

This is because I couldn't really work out what direction I wanted to steer the site in, after careful consideration I now have a way forward & over the next 8 weeks will be pulling back all the content from the old website & updating the new site (this one!) with many new features.
